But a lot of the rest of the list
I hate when these lists are made to include all of those indie songs so that presumably the makers will seem like musical experts, when really they're just excluding songs that were much better and had a much larger impact on the world. The fact that Britney doesn't appear on the list until after some of these songs just goes to show.

The rest of the list is a HUGE MESS but they got #1 right.
