i disagree, i think that the number of people actually listening to the song(s) on their streaming profiles in Spotify and Yahoo is much more important than just the number of people who happen to be buying the same song. granted i do think it should be on an equal level as airplay, since you can get away with the whole how many people request to hear the same song, but those two should come before sales, which i think is a dying breed. more people are downloading illegally everyday. it's only a matter of time before the digital downloading era ends and it means nothing to track it for BB.

also, take into consideration that it's more than just sales, airplay and on-demand, but YouTube also. people are still watching certain music videos and giving them views that pull them up and keep them suspended in their places. there are factors that we're overlooking and just jumping to conclusions, what if the points gathered from sales and airplay are the reasons that they just happen to be suspended?

on-demand is just trying to be accurate, which is what BB has ever tried to be in order to stay with how the times have changed in listening to music.

The ONLY alternative songs are the mega SALES and AIRPLAY hits by Fun. and Gotye and it's basically the same songs smashing on sales and airplay.

This is making the Hot 100 even slower and static than it was in the past, this will only hold the "old" songs for a longer while and new songs will take its time to launch. I think they jumped on this too early and I expect a lot of manipulation in years to come. (I was happy at first because thanks to this rule JB was blocked from #1 but now I'm starting to think this was a bad idea)

Oh our charts are trash! It's obvious where songs are charting week on week, you can always tell which song's going to #1 by looking at a release schedule. We've only 2 major radio stations (Radio 1 and Capital), so mess it up with them and you're ****ed. With the US charts, there's an element of excitement in seeing where things may or may not end up. In the UK charts, it's pretty much a given. #1 and then slide down the charts.

My exactly thoughts, look at the damn top 10, the first 9 stayed the same while it only changed the #10 , if it wasn't for the on-demand thing, most of the top 10 would've changed tbh.

On Demand is very fair. Where Have You Been ISNT one of the Top 10 songs in the nation right now.....Rumor Has It ISNT one of the Top 10 songs in the nation right now. Casual music listeners arent dying over the songs. The Top 10 streaming songs is what I hear around people in mu city raving about.

No they can't. Spotify for example requires you sign up and login through Facebook. Facebook has its own way of making sure its people who are members on its network. So its more accurate and credible then airplay. The problem with airplay is, that on impressions they don't take into account how many people are listening to that radio, its only done per radio. And radio is dying, less and less people are tuning into the radio these days.
