 DATE : 09.05.01 HOST : Carson Daly CO-HOST : Hiliarie Burton RECAP : // Hiliarie Burton was at the Metropolitan Opera House, the home of the 2001 VMAs where she talked with *NSYNC about their performance that they are doing tomorrow. Lance replied that it is going to be a "freak show." \\ Mena Suvari stops by the studios to promote her new movie "The Musketeers." She also talks with Carson about her crazy summer releasing two movies like her fellow co-star Shannon Elizabeth from American Pie 2. // The Rock also stopped by the studios to talk about his return to the ring and that he is working with Michael Jackson on his new album. The track is called "Unbreakable" and The Rock will be helping him out. He also is working on a new movie called the "Scorpion King." At the end of the show, TRL gave The Rock a camera that would broadcast the show live on television. \\ Mena and The Rock paired up each with one fan to play the TRL Video ID game where the superstars described the video they saw and the fans had to guess the artist. They both tied with guessing two correct videos. The two fans both go home with a ticket to the Michael Jackson tribute show on Friday.
