mary j stops by
to talk about her 5th studio album "no more
drama." she speaks about why the album is named that
and also the number of producers she had worked with for this
album. then, a fan interviews mary from her own room
(actually a green screen!).
american pie dancing for shannon elizabeth.
shannon elizabeth stops by the show today to promote "jay
and silent bob strikes back" and also her other movie "american
pie 2." she tells carson about her crazy schedule for
this summer due to her two new movies out. after, trl got 2
fans to dance for her in front of american pie's bedroom
scene. the winner was chosen by the audience and the winner
gets an american pie dvd and also movie tickets to her new
movies. in the end, the two contestants won because it was a
tie.
p.o.d. is "alive" on trl again!
p.o.d. tops trl for being at #1 today for the first time since
july 26th, 2000 with "rock the party." sonny from
p.o.d. calls in to thank all the fans and have a small chat with
carson about how carson found out in the morning that p.o.d. beat

about her past. and also, mtv will air a video block for
aaliyah today at 5:30. mtv interviews hype william on the
future of "rock the boat," the last video aaliyah had
shot. the record label still says that it is too early to
determine but hype william would like to release the video for
people to see. thank you to all the fans who voted for
"we need a resolution" yesterday, it made it as a close
