monday, april. 09, 2001 show #639 :: host: brian mcfayden :: co-host: hiliarie burton :: location: times square, ny :: guest(s): david spade, jennifer (candidate for president) :: trl kicks off trl fan appreciation week with 90 minutes of show everyday! :: brian mcfayden takes over the show today and also tomorrow while carson is out somewhere in america looking for homes for the trl @ your house contest. :: the top ten request is consisted of people's personalized top ten.   remember when trl asked for your own top ten on mtv.com?  well, they printed out all the requests and put it in a box.  when it was time to view a video, brian picked a card out of the box and they played the song that the person had requested at that spot, such as #10, 9, 8, etc...  below the days on the countdown, is the person who requested the song. :: brian talks about the web cams that trl has during the show.  you can get behind the scenes footage of trl on their website!  just go to http://trl.mtv.com during the show to see live footage from the studios. :: hiliarie burton co-hosts the show in the prize room in the midtown studio where it has a bunch of autographed stuff.  whenever a caller answered a trivia question correctly, brian went to the lottery machine and chose a ball with the name of a prize.  today, they gave out the ryan phillipe mad lib and eminem's autographed jersey. :: trl introduces the first candidate for the trl fan club.  her name is jennifer and she runs a backstreet boys fansite.  she talks with brian and goes to a chat room to answer questions from people around the world.  her overall rating from viewer is a 7.2! :: trl shows footage of 2 big backstreet boys fans who get to meet the boys backstage at a concert.  they were chosen by trl because of all the bsb mail they kept getting. :: trl reveals the second trl t-shirt design finalist.  this is the design: :: david spade stops by to talk about his new movie "joe dirt" he talks about what kind of person joe dirt would be like.  in the movie, david spade has a mullet on his head.  so, trl shows pictures of what britney spears, justin timberlake, and fred durst would look like if they had a mullet. :: rate nelly's "ride wit me" for our video of the week in your choice! :: news from john norris :: mtv news brings you fan based news all this week! ::mtv news interviewed famous people on what a "wild fan" did to them.  they also tell us what a wild fan is and their symtoms. :: vj for a day winner: sonya :: 15 eden's crush - "get over yourself" :: 14 american hi-fi - "flavor of the weak" :: 13 jennifer lopez - "play" :: 12 ricky martin with christina aguilera - "nobody wants to be lonely" :: 11 destiny's child - "survivor" :: eve f/ gwen stefani - "let me blow ya mind" :: Back to Records :: Back to Yesterday's TRL :: ATRL Forums :: want to plead for people to vote for a video?  or tell people about a voting strategy?  tell us right here at our message boards! random stuff:
