Even I (known for my essays) wouldn't need to do all of that.

The same reason when anyone releases music during their backlash phase of their career.
Very few can release music and succeed during their backlash phase.

What it did show (after the viral video) is that there is an audience that still supports Iggy.
I think it went all the way to top 15 on itunes and she booked two promo performances because of it. It actually end up serving as a litmus test to see what she could do while in her backlash phase

I'm surprised it actually did as good as it did

The song is trash first of all. Second of all no one is really here for Iggy at the moment. She needs to wait till the top of 2016 to start her new era because I think by then people won't care as much about hating her. If she releases I2 this year she's done for.
