Mo'Nique: Lee Daniels called Halle Berry a BITCH in public
Quote:
The war of words between Empire creator Lee Daniels and actress/comedian Mo’Nique is getting uglier by the day.
Lee first opened up the can of worms by responding to Mo’Nique’s claims that she was blackballed from Hollywood after filming “Precious.” He insisted that it was actually Mo’Nique’s “unreasonable demands” while working on “Precious” that negatively affected her career, and she’s been making her media rounds to speak on her side of things ever since.
After most-recently making headlines for claiming that she was initially pegged for the role of Cookie Lyons on Empire, Mo’Nique took her talents to V-103 Radio in Atlanta with a mouthful to say regarding her former colleague Lee’s allegedly inappropriate comments about actress Halle Berry, how he operates in Hollywood and more. Listen to a clip from their chat below.
I think she's doing a noble thing by exposing the inner workings of Hollywood. And maybe Lee did say and do these things but at the end of the day, I wouldn't want to work with her after these media rounds, to be honest.
Again, Mo'Nique has always been loud and obnoxious. That's why she was blackballed, and this is just another example. Outing behind-the-scenes behaviour is unprofessional and the exact opposite of "playing the game."

I can't really find anything to defend Mo'Nique. You either play Hollywood's game or you get out. It's always been that way and that'll never change. She had unrealistic demands.
That being said, Daniels wasn't right for this but he is a decent director that is opening up roles for veteran and up and coming poc actors. There is little I'd fault him with.
Does she not understand silence is the best tactic? Venturing to different media outlets complaining only hurts her career more than reviving it. Oh well, at least The Parkers is still my ****.
