I couldn't help but wonder; considering both were hugely success eras for the artists, while both being the least critically acclaimed albums of their discographies (Sasha being 62/100. And Fearless being 73/100). Both were nominated for Album Of The Year at the Grammys, yet Taylor Swift was the winner. Considering Beyonce has won so many Grammy's in the past, you'd think she would have won AOTY for her only album ever nominated in the Category. So my question is: why?
IASF was not a well executed album. It was incredibly successful, had a lot of impact and certain songs were really good, but as a whole it didn't really succeed as a concept album.
Because Fearless was better? I would never understand why anyone would think a mediocre album like Sasha deserved the win. It was a so-so batch of nominees, and Fearless seemed like the only right choice. Plus, the sales of Fearless helped in its case.
Because Taylor Swift winning would have garnered a greater reaction from younger demographics, whom the Grammys had largely failed to reach and connect with.
because critics liked fearless more, and the grammys like to agree with critics (as far as i've seen, at least). i like fearless more but that's pretty much the whole reason why
