Listen I don't need to hear this and that about how Gaga's career is already ruined or whatever..
but what I want to know is if Gaga had released the Do What U Want video as planned,
would it have a bad effect on her career since it features R. Kelly?
It wouldn't have a bad effect on her. Maybe some people, like Wendy Williams (she hates him) would talk negative about it,but she shouldn't care about that stuff especially if the whole point of the song is that
Write what you want
Say what you want 'bout me
If you’re wondering
Know that I'm not sorry
It would depend on how racy the video was. Anything with R. Kelly would have hurt her at the time due to the renewed scrutiny on his past...indiscretions. The amount of damage depends on how racy the video was. The media is really against her so they would have spun it as Gaga endorsing child molestations or something along those lines.
It wouldn't have had a bad effect because R.Kelly is in it, it would have had a bad effect if it's anything like the still we got.
R.kelly is trying to fix his image and she's supporting him as a musician, however she's very familiar with his past as we all are and if the video was anything like that it would have made a bad effect on her career.
I never thought about the negative effects r Kelly would bring to Gaga. It could have been really bad. It almost sounds like she might be promoting child molestation in a way. /:
I don't think it would really have any bad effect unless the video was very sexually explicit and maybe that is why they chose to not release it because it would be seen as being in bad taste.
If it had a good video it definitely would've peaked top 5. If it were some gross terry Richardson **** compilation mess, it probably would've peaked top 3
Having R Kelly on it in the first place was a dumb move loll' I get she was trying to contrast her album with urban sounds, but collaborating with him was a MESS.
Interscope wasn't the one that fired half of her team. Interscope wasn't the one that came up with the concept for this album. Interscope wasn't the one that made her into a walking art museum. Interscope wasn't the one that put R. Kelly on the record - he isn't even signed to Interscope or Universal as a whole.
Interscope did the best they could with what they had to work with.
