My views are mixed.
On one hand, I believe that God made you a male/female for a reason and you should keep it that way. On the other hand, I believe God wants us to follow our hearts and do what makes us happy, in a transgender's case, that means changing one's gender.

I respect peoples religious views and my mom is religious but even she doesn't agree that god made a certain gender for a reason. Its so much more than just changing genders and i wish some gay men could see that while it isn't similar to being gay in their eyes both groups get treated poorly. T is in the LGBT for a reason.

only the person who is transgendered should be able to answer this for themselves. If they feel it is right for them then that should be the way it is. come on.

If they feel the need to switch genders then they should be able to. I see nothing wrong with it and although some may say "I don't understand them" the same thing can be said about gays/lesbians. One of the reasons why gays/lesbians are oppressed because some people do not understand so they let their ignorance and fear do the talking.

I can't imagine what they go through mentally, I could never judge them because I will never understand their feelings. There are a lot of issues I feel strongly about that are related to my religion, but I see no reason why I should feel differently about this than homosexuality. It's their life, who am I to tell them what they can and can't do?

There is nothing wrong with them switching genders that is their feelings and i'm not going to limit someone's happiness especially when it doesn't have a damaging effect on the world at hand. I encourage it imo and call transgenders the gender they have switched to out of respect

Hmm, I don't think it's really my place to comment since I've never been in there shoes but, I kind of agree with you.

I believe we're born being the gender that we're made to be. But if you feel incomplete or like you're missing something or identify more with the opposite sex then, that's completely that persons decision. I'm not going to judge or look down on them for it because it's their life and they're doing what they need to be whole with themselves and live comfortably...
