How did Lindsay debut w/ 261k but didnt chart on Hot 100?
I mean none of the singles even charted in the Hot 100 but yet the album opened decently strong with 261,000 and a #4 peak at debut week? How is that? And also debuted with higher than any opening by a Disney star with their albums at that time? Can someone explain?
But her contemporary Hilary even charted on the Hot 100 top 40, but why Lindsay's singles didnt even reach Top 100 except "Confessions"? and also Lindsay debuted with higher sales than Hilary's openings with all of her debuts?
The songs got modest radio airplay and digital downloads were not yet factored in the Hot 100.
this. maybe her fans were buying digital copies instead of the physical (if those were available). The Hot 100 started to include digital sales into their formula in February 2005.
