As we all know (us little monsters the most , Lady Gaga made many missteps during the Born This Way Era;

-The overpromotion
-The delay of release
-The lead single plagiarism controversy
-The lead single's, not so stellar music video
-Releasing Judas during holy week
-The album cover
-The rush release of TEOG
-The video for TEOG
-Not making single worthy songs ACTUAL SINGLES
JUST TO NAME A FEW!


The era did have many POSITIVE notes, however, as well as sour notes , but it was a very inconsistent and unpredictable era for Lady Gaga's casual fans, and dedicated Little Monsters, and many people didn't find permanent contentment until Mother Monsters tour numbers started to come in.

Absolutely.

Despite its many, many pitfalls, Gaga delivered some of the best performances of her career and solidified herself as someone so much greater than just a popstar. She may have been a little preachy, but she made tangible efforts to push for LGBTQ rights and anti-bullying. Even more importantly, her overarching message of being proud of and loving who you are spoke to me and millions of her fans around the world. At the end of the day, if that saves lives and makes people feel comfortable in their own skin that is what matters most, and that's why Gaga does all the psychotic **** she does. She just gets it. This crazy bitch has me for life.

The album is her best imo. The era as a whole though was pretty bad. Her decisions this era were not the best. It's like she was planning to flop from the beginning (but didn't anyways).

Well, it's my favourite album too date, I agree with some of your statements, although TEOG was only released a month after Judas, and the video wasn't as spectacular as some of her other work, she has a massive grin on her face. She really enjoyed being there, and that's all I care about.

gaga needs to know though that being too pretentious can be offputting to potential consumers/potential fans.
it also didnt help that alot of the tracks on born this way sounded the same.

while i understand that it has many, many flaws, i loved the songs far more than i can say i loved the album.

and the negativity surrounding it are in the songs that people say are horrible, but i found to be the major highlights, like Edge of Glory, You And I, Bad Kids and Highway Unicorn.

quality-wise, it's her best work. the problem with it is that it's very unorganized, the flow and structure is barely there.
