We all know it's coming. We have conformation from both ladies, they are both great friends and their stanbases are "somewhat" hospitable to each other. We know of Rihanna and Katy's domination on Digital/Radio power over the last few years, with them achieving 18 #1's in a relatively short span.
The other "BIG" collab between 2 other Pop Juggernauts "Telephone" was a cultural phenomena, reaching Top 10 in many countries. When released, it solidified the alliance between the "Hive and Monsters". It became one of Gaga's many WW hits, and the biggest (to date) of Beyonce's career.
We all know of the friction between the "Navy/Hive" and "Kats/Monsters". There have been numerous stan wars breaking out and much pent up anger between the sets of stanbases, which has been noted by the artists themselves.
What will be the outcome if the collab between "Rih/Katy" does manage to surpass "Telephone" in sales, #1's and cultural phenomena? Will the Kats and Navy (LBOE,Kats,KD
) manage to put aside their differences to help both their artists? What will it hold for the futures of Gaga/Beyonce and the grip the stanbases have over the top? Is David about to topple Goliath?
