Adele, "Make You Feel My Love"
Album: 19
Release Date: November 3, 2008
Days on Chart: 29 Days
Peak Position: 01[3]
Favorite Line: "I'd go hungry. I'd go black and blue. I'd go crawling on the avenue. No there's nothing that I wouldn't do to make you feel my love"
British soul singer Adele breaks into the list with her Bob Dylan cover. The song was released late last year and gained minimal radio airplay here in the Philippines earlier this year. I am not hooked in this type of music but Adele made me appreciate her genre. I wasn't feeling this song at first not until Kris Allen did his cover on American Idol. This was one of the unexpected number-ones on my countdown.

Jason DeRülo f/ Imogen Heap, "Whatcha Say"
Album: Jason Derülo
Release Date: August 3, 2009
Days on Chart: 35 Days
Peak Position: 01[3]
Favorite Line: "Cause when the roof caved in and the truth came out, I just didn't know what to do"
Newcomer Jason DeRulo made it big on my list this year as his debut single which samples Imogen Heap's "Hide And Seek" landed at #25 spot. This song is a grower. I'm really not feeling this at first. His voice is great. He kinda reminds of me Chris Brown. Imogen Heap's addition on the song is a big help.

Jennifer Hudson, "If This Isn't Love"
Album: Jennifer Hudson
Release Date: February 24, 2009
Days on Chart: 12 Days
Peak Position: 04
Favorite Line: "If this isn't love then what it is? It's like I've been dreaming or just plain crazy"
After having a tragic year last 2008, Jennifer Hudson returns to the music scene with her second single, "If This Isn't Love". I first heard it over the radio and I thought it was Natasha Bedingfield singing. I love the song's vibe and it's definitely better than her first single, "Spotlight". The song didn't do well on my countdown but it grew on me a lot later this year.
