With the leak of Katy Perry's final version of Part of me, as well as the death of Whitney Houston, Katy and Whitney blast into the #1, #2, and #5 positions with Part of Me, I Will Always Love You, and I Wanna Dance With Somebody. Whitney's singles are the first ones from the 1980s or 1990s to debut on my countdown, and so far, they are the highest charting ones. Part of Me, if you exclude DJ Earworm's World Go Boom, is the first song to debut at #1 on my chart. It has already received over 20 plays in my iTunes library. Katy and Whitney's gain result in many songs falling significantly this week, most notorious, Where Have You Been by Rihanna which free falls 10 - 29 this week. Kelly Clarkson and Demi Lovato manage to crack the Top 10 as Kelly blasts 16 - 9 and Demi drives 14 - 10.
In addition, Ellie Goulding, M.I.A., Eric Saade, and The Wanted join Katy and Whitney as they all debut inside the Top 40.
