I'm hitting everyone with inflation. Janet, Shakira, etc. all got hit. I'll be doing more research and posting more in every receipts thread. Prepare yourself.

ffff at "prepare yourself".
Excuse me, but why would I ever care about what YOU, a Britney stan, has to say about Xtina's sales?
Like, who do you think you are? Some sort of "authority" on this?

Does Eternium have a subscription to Nielsen SoundScan or some other legitimate source for album sales? Who made her the sales police? Unless she does, I don't get how she has that authority.

It's cute when you play the victim and then regularly criticize the sales numbers of Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, etc. I haven't forgotten your whole "certifications vs. estimated numbers" spiel in a bid to discredit other artists and I don't feel bad for calling you numbers that are off. You didn't seem to mind when the Mediatraffic estimates I posted to correct your Madonna thread raised her sales, so how are you going to be mad when I call one of your estimates that is blatantly off?
Mediatraffic is set to update her numbers and I'm sure it'll reflect higher numbers for her 2010 decade albums.

Sis, just one look at the OP:
Quote:
Christina Aguilera - 15M
Mi Reflejo - 3M
MKOC - 2.5M
Stripped - 11M
B2B - 5M
KGB:ADOH - 1.3M
Bionic - .7M
Burlesque - 1.2M
Lotus - .5M
Total: 40.2M
|
...and then the use of a label shipment number to round it up to 46M makes my receipts masterpost less accurate. I understand JBF is missing as is the Justin & Christina EP but I highly doubt those even add 500K WW sales. This is the chart section, and if you run a receipts thread, you have a responsibility to be accurate. Christina Aguilera is a successful icon and doesn't need her numbers fudged to prove that.

Mediatraffic's numbers for Madonna are actually lower than my estimations. And I didn't even change my estimations for Madonna, I just added Mediatraffic's as another category. It's theirs: 197.3 million vs mine: 201.9 million.
So, what are you even talking about?
Also it's so ironic you talk about blatantly off numbers and me criticizing Spears and Clarkson's numbers when you just said yesterday Breakaway has sold 15 million when it only has 9.5 million certified already including every major and medium sized market and Mediatraffic has it at 11 million. If you're gonna act like a "sales police" then at least make sure you do it equally, not just with those you don't like.
And no one is talking about off numbers, we're just laughing at you acting like you're an authority on this or something...

There's no way Mi Reflejo and My Kind of Christmas sold that much. The other album sales are pretty accurate. For comparison, MediaTraffic's estimates for the album sales are around 35,6 million which is close with the OP number.

It's two weeks later and you've yet to post the sales breakdown for MKOC. Anticipating found a Gold certification in South Africa (50k).
Quit stalling/trying to make it look like I dislike Christina Aguilera. If you need help finding numbers, just let us know.

These 2 Britney stans are too caught up on estimates. Sites like Mediatraffic have X around 37 million albums sold. With adding Sony BMG sales for X's debut, Latin album, Xmas album, and Stripped on top of the countries the UWC doesn't count, X's sales are around 44-47 million albums sold which happens to be around the number written in the op.

Their total numbers were updated to include club sales (Sony BMG + Columbia House) and supposedly all countries were counted. They missed some Asian sales for Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears and I would probably guess that Stripped has some sales missed, too, but the rest of the albums seem fine.
JBF did 128k in the U.S. I don't know if it charted anywhere else but I'd guess it had considerable U.K. sales since it came out around Stripped's release.
Christina Aguilera / Stripped* charted at #164 in the U.K.
Stripped / Stripped Live in the U.K.* didn't chart, as far as I'm aware.
The Music Video Collection* also didn't chart, as far as I'm aware.
Genie Gets Her Wish / Stripped Live In the U.K.* also didn't chart.
Justin & Christina EP* was a Target exclusive.
When we take in to account Christina's 17.9M total U.S. and the fact that her studio albums, compilation albums and demo album did 17.856M, then these four/five albums (the ones marked with asterisks) did about 44k in the U.S. Source: http://web.archive.org/web/201409060...carey?page=0,3

MTE.
So now, teh UWC is an accurate source.
I still remember when Moves Like Jagger topped that chart, they ran to discredit Nobody Wants To Be Lonely as #1 single. And now, is a #2-peak song.

Just a Fool - 802,000
Quote:
While "Shotgun" blasts Aguilera onto Hot Country Songs for the first time, it's not her first foray into the genre. Her country-flavored duet with Blake Shelton, her co-judge on NBC's The Voice, didn't reach any country charts, but did climb to No. 21 on Adult Contemporary, No. 28 on Adult Pop Songs and No. 25 on Digital Songs in 2012-13. It's sold 802,000 downloads to date.

Xtina's "Just A Fool" has sold 802K in the US
With such little airplay
Quote:
Ballad "Shotgun" bows at No. 7 on Country Digital Songs with 30,000 sold, according to Nielsen Music. Notably, the song was available commercially only for a week, per an agreement among all involved, unlike other Nashville singles, which remain available for purchase.
Aguilera unveiled her character Jade St. John on the April 15 Nashville episode, guesting as the ex-fiancee of Jeff Fordham, played by Oliver Hudson.
