Teen Choice 2011 posted a preliminary 1.1 rating with adults 18-49, down 27% versus last year’s 1.5 adults 18-49 rating, but with its target demo (teens) it posted a 2.8/10 (rating/share), its best and the highest since 2008 and its best among male teens since 2006. 3.17 million tuned in to see Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Cast of Harry Potter, Cast of Vampire Diaries, and more collect surfboards.

Yes.
But we all know very well that today's teens are all about swearing, illegally watching movies and downloading songs, doing drugs, and drinking alcohol... I'm 16 and I saw 3 of those movies.

That doesn't make it ok, ugh these awards need to keep it interesting so I guess... I mean Rated R doesn't mean they can't see it, it just means you have to have an adult there with you.

Yes, that is the truth.
But of course they are going to nominate things that are popular this year. Those movies were talked about a ton, and it seems that the latest comedies are rated R, and even in ones that are PG-13, you may see something you don't want to see or don't want your child/teen to see. But obviously out of all the things I stated, one little R-rated movie is nothing compared to actually doing what you possibly saw in it.
