All 4 of these women were going through personal turmoil in the late 90s --Some more evidently shown through the music than others--, and for the first time on ATRL, they will battle it out to see whose pain made the greatest work.

'Ray Of Light' went against everything that was current on the pop charts (or any charts) at the time.
it pretty much stands the test of time and still sounds as progressive and ahead of it's time as it did 14 years ago.
'The Velvet Rope' is Janet's most daring, personal album to date. But at times, it sounds outdated.
'Butterfly' the typical, formatted formula Mariah album with the obvious singles......
Is the Natalie Imbruglia in the top left corner? .
1. Ray Of Light - when I'm the mood to just be a lazy **** and relax, this is my go-to album.
2.The Velvet Rope - Just recently bought this album and I think it's perfect from start to finish. The perfect follow up to Janet.
3.Butterfly - Aside from "My All" I wasn't really here for this album..
4. Impossible Princess - Kylie, Kylie, Kylie, where do I even begin...

Watch out with that last part. The last person who pulled some **** like that got 4 WPs, I believe!
Butterfly ***** on all the others to be quite honest
Yes. That's true, but let's not.

Oh Lord... I know ROL already, but I'm still not familiar with the other 3...
But I enjoy these rates a lot so I will try to participate. And I've been planning to get into Kylie's music for a while now, maybe IP will be a good start.

YT links should be in the OP tomorrow, but you can always Spotify the albums, too. But Impossible Princess is definitely not how to start out with Kylie!
