Nicki Minaj has always talked about feminism, and female empowerment and the lack of females in the rap community, and opening doors for them. But why hasn't she worked with any up and coming female rappers like Kat Dahlia, Snow Da Product or Iggy (when she was still coming up)?
She has no problem working with low key male rap artist and putting them on her songs, but she never wants to work with females. Is she insecure that they'll over shadow her in her songs?
shes a business savvy woman. she probably knows that right now shes in her own lane completely and that any female MC that makes it big will be automatically compared directly to her. why make it even easier for people to do so and put yourself on a track with them? or maybe she just hasnt wanted them for artistic reasons?

I don't see why somebody in her position wouldn't want to collaborate with other female rappers,seeing how it's so rare these days.
Honestly, it could be a mix of things. I don't know if she thinks that they will out-shine her (very doubtful) or what. There isn't a sole reason as to why she couldn't/shouldn't work with he likes of Missy, Trina, and Foxy as they've shown nothing but love.
I feel that she doesn't wan to give them any exposure or an opportunity to be back in the spotlight with. I think Nicki low-key likes being the only dominant female rapper in the industry at the moment. It makes it easier for her. I would love for her to work with other female rappers. I really hope she works with Remy Ma once she's released from prison.
It's funny Missy,Da Brat,Left Eye and Lil Kim had no problem doing a song together.
Even Mc lyte and Queen Latifah were on a song together,it's just ignorance on her part.
Nicki definately knows who is hot and who isn't. If she can collab with all these no name local MC's then I dont see why she cant just do a female rap collab to shut people up already.
Honestly If I was Nicki and I really wanted to be seen as "The Queen" I'd take Iggy Azealia and Angel under my wing and do a collab to put spotlight on female rap in general. Nicki is such a big artist but hasn't really supported anyone in her field whether they can rap to her on her standards or not it's pretty selfish once you think about it. Nicki didn't want hate when she came out and wanted to be embraced but seems like she isn't doing that
Also, she helped PTAF secure that deal. Let's not play.
People choose to ignore these things as though Nicki needs to love every single female rapper in existence.
She already has a good relationship with most relevant ones.
Nicki doesn't need anymore than that, especially when most of the new female rappers have shaded her at one point or another.
Nicki definitely knows these new girls exist, Iggy, Azealia, and Angel in particular. I don't think she wants to "put them on". I stan for Nicki but it's fairly evident she has a certain agenda against working with female rappers as all her rap collaborations for her music have all been male.
It would be amazing for her to create her own little "Ladies Night" track but I don't think she is interested in other female rappers, especially in the newer generation.
Trina and Foxy would RUN for that chance, can't think of others. It's a shame, I love female unity in the rap game.
