Top 20 Dramas of 2013
#5 ~ #1

The first half of the third season was a real improvement over the second one, so I'm definitely excited for the premiere of the second half of the season. Harvey occasionally gets on my nerves with the way he treats Louis. Louis and Donna for sure need more airtime, they're two of my favourite characters on the show. All in all, I couldn't be happier to place this show fifth.

Suits is a legal drama from USA Network starring Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht. Suits follows college drop-out Mike Ross, who accidentally lands a job with one of New York's best legal closers, Harvey Specter. They soon become a winning team with Mike's raw talent and photographic memory, and Mike soon reminds Harvey of why he went into the field of law in the first place.

When I first heard about this show I decided to give it a try because I thought it would be somewhat interesting considering the title and whatnot, and it turned out to be great. I love the dry humour of this show and am looking forward to season two.

Part of me wishes "Masters of Sex" could be a Netflix series.
It's not; this good new drama debuts on Showtime 10 p.m. ET Sunday.
"Masters," more than most shows, would benefit from viewers' absorbing it in great big batches. The truth is, the first few episodes have some problem areas, but by the fifth and sixth hours, I was very much hooked and ready for more. This drama may take a little while to seduce you, but it's worth the wait.

This show immediately got me addicted, which was perfect since it's a Netflix series which meant that I managed to binge watch the entire thing in little over a week. The show really manages to paint a stark picture of how dirty politics can be, which Kevin Spacey embodies very well. Can't wait to devour the second season when all episodes are released at once on Netflix

House of Cards, the most remarkable new television drama of the year, is not being shown on any television channel. It may have been inspired by the 1990s BBC classic with which it shares a title, but this series belongs to the future of the medium, not the past.

Nucky interacts with several historical figures in both his personal and political life, including mobsters, politicians, government agents, and the common folk who look up to him. The federal government also takes an interest in the bootlegging and other illegal activities in the area, sending agents to investigate possible mob connections but also looking at Nucky's lifestyle—expensive and lavish for a county political figure.

Season three sacrificed alot of the 'horror' factor but AHS remains the best show on TV. Coven went off to a great start but towards the middle I have to be honest I almost lost interest since everyone who died kept being brought back to life and nothing really significant seemed to be going on, but the last few episodes have really begun to pick pace. Can't wait to see how the season concludes when it returns next year.

A school has opened in New Orleans to teach young witches how to protect themselves. The long-absent Supreme, Fiona (Jessica Lange), arrives to ensure the safety of the coven and their secrets. Fiona's daughter, Cordelia (Sarah Paulson), teaches at the school. Events reveal a long-held rivalry between the witches of Salem and the Voodoo practitioners of New Orleans, as well as a historic grudge between Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett) and socialite serial killer Delphine LaLaurie (Kathy Bates). The primary theme of the season is oppression; specifically, the oppression of marginalized groups. Other themes include witchcraft, Voodoo, racism, and family, such as the relationships between mothers and daughters. The season is set primarily in modern day and includes flashbacks to the 1830s.
