Night Of Champions Review:
As I talked about in my last post, I was at The Night Of Champions, and I told you I would do a review, so here it is. I go to watch the event and also to watch the fans to see what they think. My conclusion was that the 3 most liked superstars right now are John Cena, CM Punk and believe it or not Zack Ryder. He wasn’t even there but every half hour a “We Want Ryder” chant broke out. On to the show, the first dark match was Daniel Bryan beating Heath Slater, not very exciting, I’ll give it 3/10. Then I heard the loudest booing of the night when Michael Cole came out with an evil grin on his face to announce, he was joined by his partners, Jerry Lawler and Booker T. First match was Air Boom defeating Awesome Truth by DQ when Miz hit the referee. It was a great match and a shame for it to end this, I rate it a 7/10. Afterwards both Miz and R-Truth attacked the referee. Next was The Intercontinental Championship Match, Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase, the fans weren’t really into this match. It wasn’t a great match, but they should have showed more respect for Cody, he is something special in my book and he of course won. Overall I’ll give it a 5/10. Next Christian came out and basically begged for one more World Title match (seems to be his gimmick now), then the Great White Sheamus came out and attacked him. Sheamus got a huge pop and is really over as a face. Next Dolph Ziggler won a Fatal 4 Way match for the United States Championship, also in the match was Jack Swagger, Alex Riley and John Morrison. I wanted Riley to win but I cannot complain because this was a cool match with a lot of neat spots and it gets an 8/10. After the match Vickie was so happy she even kissed Matt Striker! I though that was funny! Next the World Heavyweight Championship as Randy Orton shockingly lost the belt to Mark Henry. Give Mark credit here, he had to beat both Randy and Randy’s beard. I was happy to see Mark Henry capture his first World Title it finally makes his push mean something. Not a very exciting match (could have been worse) I give it a 4/10. Next the Divas Championship on the line, this gave me a chance to check my phone to see how my Fantasy Football team was doing. Kelly Kelly defended the title successfully against Beth Phoenix, I think Beth should have won, she is from Buffalo. I have nothing good to say about this match and it gets a 0/10, I hate Kelly Kelly, she is not even that hot! Next John Cena wins his 12th big Championship in WWE by beating Alberto Del Rio. Boring match, 5/10. Most people my age at the show were pissed to see Cena win yet again. I think its boring to see him as champ again, but WAY better than seeing ADR as champ, because ADR sucks! Therefore, I was actually happy to see Cena win. Now the main event CM Punk vs. Triple H in a No Holds Barred Match, this was the main reason I wanted to go! Both men got huge pops and the fans were into this match all the way. It was a great match, but then R-Truth and The Miz interfered and attacked both men and the referee. John Laurinaitis also came out to help the referee and when Triple H had Punk covered, I noticed another ref came in to count, but Laurinaitis stopped him and told him to continue to check on the referee. Also I saw Laurinaitis on his cell phone texting right before Kevin Nash came out and attacked both Punk and Triple H. Very confusing finish but it was Triple H in the end who won. One of the more violent matches we have seen in the WWE in a long time. I’ll give it a 9/10, not a 10/10 because A) Punk didn’t win and B) the ending was confusing. All and all I’ll give the show a 6/10. And WWE if you ever come to Buffalo again you better “GIVE US RYDER”!!!!!!!!!! WOO WOO WOO YOU KNOW IT!!!!!
