You know, I don't think I would. Homosexuality is an intrinsic part of my identity. Expressing my identity, learning more about my identity, realising my identity - these are all things that provide me with fulfilment in life as an individual.

I would not like to change my identity. I am happy with it.

At this point in my life, now that I am comfortable with who I am and don't mind being gay, I wouldn't.

That would honestly be much worse, being extremely feminine and straight is a terrible combo, plus everyone would think you are gay.

I would say two things to this.

Firstly, there are elements in our identity which are intrinsic and core parts of our identity. These aspects of ourselves will not change over time, and to change them would be to change our very identity. I would say 'core' or 'intrinsic' parts of our identity include sexuality and gender.

Secondly, there is a difference I would say between a) natural identity evolution, if you like, which I would say is a natural process involved in the blossoming of one's identity and b) a radical and sudden alteration to one's identity, which I would regard as a decisive and clear shift away from identity.

I think your point is interesting though.
