Mortal Kombat is arguably the biggest fighting game series of all time after Street Fighter, but why has nobody been checking for the series in Asia since MK2 back in the early 90's? Kinda like how Tekken hasn't been popular in America since i was like in 7th or 8th grade, truly a reverse warholian experience.
Street Fighter wishes it had any remote impact and legacy unlike Mortal Kombat. And a rated M game is not gonna be big in asia where all these JRPG type games dominate, which is why SF does well there its kid friendly colorful and basic design makes it popular.

Maybe if MK didn't borrow about everything from SF2 (which earned more money, and had more impact than the entire MK series) you'd had a point, and wouldn't sound stupid
