esha Rose Sebert (born March 1, 1987) mononymously known as Ke$ha, is an American singer-songwriter, who has been an active musician since 2005. She was born in San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, USA to single parent Pebe Sebert. Whilst Pebe supported and influenced Kesha to perform on stage as a child, Pebe struggled economically to support Kesha, and her two songs Louis and Lagan. They had to rely on welfare and supplementary nutritional assistance to get through their economic struggles. The Seberts moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1991, after securing a publishing contract in the region. She often brought Kesha to recording studios, and taught Kesha how to sing and write songs. They often wrote songs together, especialyl after Kesha came back from school.
Kesha's breakthrough in her courier came in early 2009, after appearing on Flo Rida's UK number one single "Right Round". Kesha chose not to be credited as an artist in the song, as she wanted to establish her courier beginnings on her own. Her debut single "TiK ToK" was released in August 2009, and topped five countries and the women's weekly downloads, and overall, the Weekly Top 40 Mainstream airplay records in the United States. Animal, her debut album was released in early 2010 and debuted at number one in USA.
