I'm sure there will be video soon, but he is on E!News right now at the Grammy After party with Kim, Khloe, Christina Millian and a couple of the E! correspondents, and they brought up how he almost went up on stage and interrupted Beck, thinking that it was just a joke....I'll type out what he said.
He then preceded to rant about how Beck won, saying
"I don't even know what he said, but all I know is that if the Grammys want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us....we ain't gonna play with them any more. Flawless, Beyonce video. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyonce. And at this point, we tired of it. Because what happens is, when you keep on diminishing art and diminishing the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental peaks in music, you're disrespectful to inspiration. And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day and listen to that Beyonce album and feel like it takes them to another place and they do this whole promotional event that they run the music over somebody's speaks to artists because they want commercial advertising (?) , and we ain't playin with them anymore! And you know I got my wife, I got my daughter and I got my clothing line, so I'm not gonna do nothin to put my daughter at risk but I am gonna fight for creativity. And y'all know what it meant when Ye walked on that stage."
ETA: here's a video:
Here I was thinking that he was just joking during the show, but nope. He really hasn't changed at all since the Taylor incident.
Ughhhh if he listed to Beck's album he would know true artistry .! It is so disrespectful of Kanye and just downright disgusting ...
Bey has won 20 Grammys the most by a black female . That is an award in itself , congratulate her on that achievement instead of focusing on her losing just one grammy
Naw 'Ye, Beck is alright and he is an artist with a lot of cred. He's had it for years so I didn't mind him winning over Bey. I even would've been okay with Ed because i like him. Just as long as it wasn't Sam or Pharrell's lesser acclaimed albums...
