No shade, but I've been wondering this for a while now. The Hive loves shading Gaga, Brit, Christina, Katy, etc. for declining with every era, but don't you think it's a bit ironic most of the time?
Dangerously In Love: 4,925,000
B'Day: 3,360,000 (-1,565,000)
I Am... Sasha Fierce: 3,140,000 (-180,000)
4: 1,400,000 (-1,740,000)
BEYONCÉ: 2,070,000 (+670,000)
As we can see, BEYONCÉ is the only album of hers that sold more than the last. She's had some big declines and some small ones, but she still declined with every album up until the surprise release of BEYONCÉ.
Her single sales have declined even more, Beyonce used to be one of the biggest hit makers of her generation, but ever since 4, she's been struggling to get a #1 single or even a Top 10 without the help of streams.
Dangerously In Love: two #1 singles, four Top 5 singles in total
B'Day: one 1# single, three Top 10 singles in total
I Am... Sasha Fierce: one #1 single, four Top 10 singles in total
4: 0 #1 singles, 0 Top 10 singles in total
BEYONCÉ: 0 #1 singles, one Top 10 single in total (sales are still under 2 million in the USA)
Aditionally, she has only sold 8 million singles in the USA with her last two albums, despite releasing 10 singles and songs like Run The World having MASSIVE promotion and Drunk In Love being so impactful and powerful.
Can a Hive explain to me how she has not declined during 4/5 of her eras? Again, no shade! I'm really curious about this.
