I am so mad that Ceremonials is so bad compared to Lungs. There are only like 6 good songs on that album, Lungs is almost a masterpiece minus a few songs.

Drumming Song > Everything
This is so true. Lungs is so much better than Ceremonials. I'm blaming Paul Epworth.

My problem with Ceremonials is that it took the aspect of Lungs I disliked, what I think is the overproduction on the songs, and dialed it up to Max.
There are few instances in which I prefer the album version to a live or accoustic performance, but that is especially true for songs on Ceremonials.
Florence also has the habit of leaving great songs off the basic albums. If I had to name my ten favorite songs of hers, at least three (Falling, Remain Nameless, Bedroom Hymns) classify as album extras.
I think the problem with Ceremonial is that it sounds too "loud" with the production and stuff.
If she was to re-release it completely as an acoustic, it would sound miles better for some.
I don't know if people on ATRl have seen some of Flo's old interviews, but here are a couple of the better ones, including on in which she is clearly a bit tipsy.
I think the one flaw about Ceremonials is that it's too serious. I love how she has matured as a songwriter, but I think this album could've done with a couple of bouncy tunes. "Shake It Out" is the most upbeat song on it. Lungs was more balanced in this regard. But I think it's more cohesive than Lungs, although I don't consider that a flaw for Lungs. The way that album is all over the place is part of what makes it so good.
Though I have something to say about her live performances as of late... what's up with her being stiffer than a statue? This is not her usual style, and I'm not here for it.
