Carrie Marie Underwood, is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She rose to fame as the winner of the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. Underwood has set and broken several records throughout her career. Her achievements led her to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008 and into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2009. She has won a vast array of awards, including seven Grammy Awards, seventeen Billboard Music Awards, eleven Academy of Country Music Awards and eight American Music Awards, along with being nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.
Her debut album, Some Hearts, was released in 2005. Bolstered by the huge crossover success of the singles "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and "Before He Cheats", it went on to become the fastest selling debut country album in Nielsen SoundScan history, the best-selling solo female debut album in country music history and the best-selling country album of the last ten years. Underwood won three Grammy Awards for the album, including Best New Artist. Released in 2007, her second album, Carnival Ride, had one of the biggest ever opening weeks by a female artist and earned Underwood two Grammy Awards. Her next album, 2009's Play On, was a commercial success led by the single "Cowboy Casanova". Underwood's fourth album, Blown Away (2012), earned her a Grammy Award and was that year's second best-selling release by a female artist. In 2014, she released her first compilation album, winning a Grammy Award for its crossover single "Something in the Water". Underwood has sold more than 65 million records globally, and is the Top Country Artist of all time on the RIAA's Digital Singles ranking and the biggest American Idol earner of all time.
Recognized by Rolling Stone as the female vocalist of her generation in any genre and by Billboard as Country Music's reigning Queen, Underwood is the only solo country artist in the 2000s to have a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and the first and only country artist to ever debut at number one on the Hot 100, as "Inside Your Heaven" topped the chart in 2005. She is also the female artist with the most No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, from 1991 to present, having 14 number one's and breaking her own Guinness Book record of ten. Some Hearts was named the No. 1 country album of the 2000s by Billboard and she was the top-ranked female artist on Billboard's Best Country Artists of the 2000s list. Time has listed Underwood as one of the 100 most influential people in the world..
I know, At first when she won American Idol I was worried that she'd pull a Rubban Studdard and fall from the face of the planet. Fortunately she proved all of us wrong!
Can we please get into this masterpiece? It's one of Carrie's finest written songs & greatest vocal performances. I do not know how this song did not make Play On.. I mean it's amazing! I really do hope we see this song on her fourth album even if its just a bonus track. If not even a Greatest Hit collection should feature this song! Urrr I need to hear the finished version of this track!
YAS! You deserve the thread and I don't like the picture
I know the pictures are bit.. blah, It was just a rushed attempt for now so I actually have something on the first post. I'll be fixing it up later when I get some free time because right now it was a simple copy>paste effort.

I like Oklahoma Wind. I really think it could be on the 4th album But we have already listened to it, so I'm here for new things. It's for core fans only
I keep hoping that they leaked Oklahoma Wind to see how the general public would react to a more "folksy" Carrie Underwood and depending on the reactions they'd put in on the 4th album. All though I think more people want all new songs and not recycled content (All though this would be one of my favourite tracks by her)
11 #1 Singles on Country Singles & a #1 on BB100! Not your everyday country star!

Well, Carrie said the album was folksier and the guitarist/drummer said it is better than the 3rd album, so there is still a hope

That's good..
But them saying it's better than Play On doesn't really state much yet.. Play On had some of her greatest singles ever released but it wasn't a fluent album. I hope by "Its better than the 3rd" he means that each single follows a theme and that the fluency of the album is great. I really don't care if she doesn't get success this upcoming album I just want her to finally get the critical acclaim she's been trying to get for so long!
OK, it wasn't exactly a Louisville Slugger to both headlights.
But police in Milford, Conn., arrested a 36-year-old woman after accusing her of taking a hammer to a car owned by her "former companion." Oh, and police said she slashed two of the car's four tires, TV station NBC Connecticut in Hartford, Conn., reported.
That same TV station referred to Carrie Underwood's 2006 No. 1 single "Before He Cheats" in reporting the story, but there's no evidence that the suspect, Nakia Hurdle, was directly motivated by that song.
The ex's car, by the way, was parked in a hotel parking lot when Hurdle allegedly vandalized it.
She was released on bond and given a Jan. 17 court date.
Excuse me? What are you talking about? I love Carrie, I have the album anticipation
Haha I think the first statment of it being shot during AI was directed toward you.
The other statement was just general I think and not mean't to be towards you!
