Marcus Collins is an English singer-songwriter who rose to fame on the eighth series of British TV talent competition The X Factor.
Following the final of The X Factor, Collins entered the recording studio with his X Factor mentor, Gary Barlow, to work on material to pitch to a record label. In January 2012, Collins signed a record deal with RCA Records, which would see his debut album released in March of that year. On January 21, it was announced that Collins' debut single would be a cover of The White Stripes' 2003 hit single,
"Seven Nation Army".
The song will feature on Collins' album, which is released on March 12
His album sounds good. I thought Olly was crap but sold 600k with his debut off 2 ok sounding singles, and the last 2 singles didnt sell at all. SO even the most popular have poor singles. His sound is nice, and Im sick of hearing the UK folk saying he's like bruno mars. Musically they are nothing alike. I bet if he looked like Joe Mcelderry they wouldn't say that. Its only in his live performances that Bruno brings soul to his music. I think marcus has about 4/5 singles. Adele only had a few singles off her album and 3 from 21 and look at how big its been. He has a lot of single and album preorders. I hope he does well. We need a soul man in the UK, the last one was Lemar. Thats how long ago it was.
