”There is really no one that is a more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me,” Gaga tells Jay Leno on tonight’s show. “I am the hugest fan personally and professionally.”
“The good news is that I got an e-mail from her people and her,” she says, “sending me their love and complete support on behalf of the single, and if the queen says it shall be, then it shall be.”
"The freedom in the song, the R&B, early '90s vibe that it has," she continued, "it's so full of love and spirit, and I think that it's the spirit that people are reacting to the most. I just want everyone to rejoice and celebrate and be unafraid to be happy. It doesn't always have to be so dark. It doesn't always have to be so sexy. Sometimes it's wonderful just to celebrate life and kind of go to church with it."
Also, The Monster Ball HBO special was officially announced. And the Born This Way music video will be out soon!
I can't at your avatar. SO epic (and hilarious too). Gaga and her friends must laugh her ass off with these entrances melodramatic entrances she makes.
Awesome interview. She's an incredibly smart girl, she's hilarious and I like how she toned down the hype for the album. She doesn't need that now, just enjoy the ride.
And it's great that she put the Madonna thing to bed. Just enjoy the ****ing song because it's one hell of a pop record.
