Is it something that matters to you personally?
Do you buy/download albums based on how well they are reviewed?
Does it bother you if your faves amazing new album is disliked by the critics?
Do you sometimes get a highly praised album and go like "WTF?"
Not all the times. Like an album can get a REALLY REALLY high Metacritic score and be lauded as amazing. But if its not my taste, I won't spend my money on it. After all, critics are just people like you and me.
No. I don't allow a critic's opinion to sway mine nor do I factor that into whether or not I want to buy an album. A critic's opinion is just that, an opinion.

Doesn't matter to me. Obviously it matters to those who review albums. However I wouldn't buy or listen to an album just because it's critically acclaimed. Sometimes I listen to low ranked albums just to see if I actually like it more than the reviewer. You never know what kind of hidden gem you may discover.
It does, but you shouldn't put all your eggs into that basket or you might end up pleasing critics and not fans.
And fans are who keep you relevant, not critics.
HELL NO! Because there has been numerous albums/films were critics praised it and I was like, "WTH!" And, there has been numerous music/films that I loved and critics, not so much. People give them wayyyy too much. They're just human beings like you.
When it comes to music, I don't use critics, but it's nice when music I like has a good Metacritic score. Movies I'm looking forward to never need Rotten Tomatoes. If I'm iffy about it, then I usually need it.
