In addition to refuting the online rumors, the management company confirmed that the singer is working on upcoming music projects. "Furthermore, Beyoncé is readying the release of her new, highly anticipated DVD and has started the recording process for her new album," the statement concluded.

A release date is a few months off but we hear six-time Grammy Award-winner Beyonce's new album is sure to be another worldwide hit. Sony Music Australia boss Denis Handlin flew to New York for meetings with executives last week, and was treated to an audience with the bootylicious lady herself. The former Destiny's Child singer rocked up in person to play international Sony executives songs from her new and fourth solo studio album, due for release late June. Before playing the music, Beyonce said: "I just love making music and sharing it with my fans." As a solo artist, Beyonce has sold more than 11 million albums, and millions more with Destiny's Child. She is one of the most successful popstars of her generation. It was just amazing," Handlin told Insider of the new music. "She came in and played us six tracks from the album. She wants to do a big tour off the back of this record, which will include Australia. These songs, the best description I can give is groundbreaking; she's gone to another level."
anyway
i wonder how many grammys she will win with this album

Beyonce held a preview listening party for her upcoming album, 4, at the NYC offices of Sony Music on Wednesday afternoon (May 11).
About a dozen of her super fans watched the “Run The World (Girls)” video in a conference room before the 29-year-old global superstar came in and surprised everyone, shaking hands and hugging every single person in the room. (One of her fansites BeyonceWorld even flew in from Australia!)
“When editing the DVD [for Beyonce: I Am… World Tour], I noticed that the tone of my voice is different live [than my recording one],” Beyonce told JustJared.com. “So I used that live performance tone throughout the record.”
B then sat down, grabbed a bottle of Pellegrino sparkling water, and played five new tracks for the room.
“I wanted to do something refreshing and different,” Beyonce told JustJared.com. “So I mixed genres and drew inspiration from touring, traveling, watching rock bands, and attending festivals… I was like a mad scientist, putting lots of different songs together.”
Click inside for JustJared.com’s preview of “4″…
Beyonce ‘4′ Album Preview - JustJared.com Exclusive
SONG #1 ———- Part of the song, tentatively titled “Till The End of Time,” has already leaked on YouTube. “The bass line was inspired by [Nigerian musician and composer] Fela Kuti,” Beyonce shared with JustJared.com. “It’s my nephew Julez’s favorite song.” (JJ Tidbit: Jay-Z produced the Broadway musical Fela! about the late Nigerian singer.)
Here are some sample lyrics: “I wanna love you so (hit me)/ I will be the one to kiss you at night… Come on take my hand/ I won’t let you go/ I’ll be your friend/ I will love you so… Turn your rain into sun… Say you’ll never let me go.”
SONG #2 ———- This mid-tempo song has lots of drums much like “Run The World.” “Babyface wrote the song,” Beyonce told JustJared.com. The track is about karma and revenge and kicks off with, “What goes around comes back around.” Some key phrases from the song include, “Best thing I’ve ever had” and “Best thing you’ve never had.” The best line in the song goes, “You showed your ass, baby I saw the real you.” The song closes with, “Sucks to be you right now.”
SONG #3 ———- This ballad is moody and dark. It’s a song that will really sit with you, rather than be an instant smash hit. One fan asked Beyonce if she was crying at the beginning of the song because it sounded like she was. “Almost,” she responded. “I was on the verge.”
Jeff Bhasker penned this song, Beyonce confirmed. “It’s one of my favorite songs [off of the album],” she said.
Some sample lyrics: “I told you how you hurt me/ I’m crying and deserted but you don’t care/ Nobody told me this is love/ You’re immune to all my pain/ This is love but that’s okay… But I care/ I know you don’t care too much/ But I still care.”
SONG #4 ———- This track starts off the lyrics “killing me softly” and samples Boyz II Men’s “Uhh Ahh.” Beyonce uses the countdown and sings between each decremental number “10, 9, 8…”
“Boyz II Men were the first ones to put Destiny’s Child on tour,” Beyonce told JustJared.com. “They showed us how to treat an opening act and I will never forget that. That was 15 years ago! Wow, 15 years! (laughs) I’m old.”
Some sample lyrics: “Dedicated to the one I love… diamonds in that chain… Riding that pony.. showing him how you ride… If you leave me, you’re out of your mind. London, speed it up. Houston, rock it.”
What did Jay-Z think of this song? “He liked it,” Beyonce told JustJared.com. “I don’t think he was dissecting it, just thinking of what he could do to it as a rapper.”
SONG #5 ———- Beyonce had the lights turned down for this beautiful ballad. Here’s how the song starts: “If I ain’t got nothing, I got you/ If I ain’t got something, I don’t give a damn/
Because I got here…”
“I don’t know much about algebra but one plus one is two,” she croons. “He ain’t got nothing but love. Darling, you got enough for the both of us. Make love when my days look low, pull me in close.”
“RUN THE WORLD (GIRLS)” VIDEO ———- It’s everything we hoped it would be - amazing! (Watch the 60-second “Run The World” teaser.)
The video starts and ends with Beyonce riding her horse. (A lion walks into one of the dance numbers and Beyonce has two giant hyenas on leashes in another scene.) The room went crazy during two parts of the song. The first was when Beyonce sings “eff you” and gives the middle finger (albeit pixelated with a censor). The second was when Beyonce is on her knees, bent backwards, and writhing around in the sand. It’s reminiscent of the sand dance sequence in her “Baby Boy” video
The dance sequences were choreographed by her longtime friend Frank Gatson with help from Sheryl Murakami and Mozambican kwaito dance group Tofo Tofo. Beyonce had scoured the Internet and discovered Tofo Tofo on YouTube. The funny thing is they had no idea who Beyonce was when she reached out to them! (Tofo Tofo gets down with Beyonce in a few of the dance numbers.)
————————–
Beyonce had walked into the room after her fans watched the “Run the World” video, so after the album preview, she had the video played again. “I’ve never watched it with a group of people before, so I’m excited,” she said. So the fans got to see the video not once, but twice!
After the album preview and video screening, Beyonce thanked everyone in the room for coming and said she had to go rehearse for her next “thing.” She has so many “things” coming up, we’re all so excited!

AL: Ah, Maroon 5. Well, I think our music started changing. We started listening to R&B and hip hop which started effecting the way we wanted to play. I think in the late nineties, once rock 'n' roll was kind of officially dead, things started happening in the R&B and hip-hop world that were really revolutionary. To me, at least, rock 'n' roll bands started just regurgitating the same s**t. Everybody wanted to be Nirvana, everybody wanted to be Pearl Jam, and nobody really paid attention to the fact that The Neptunes and Timberland was all very new sounding, innovative sounding. And I was really drawn to that, even the early Destiny's Child records. I know it sounds weird, but to me at the time, those were the most revolutionary records coming out. I mean Missy Elliott was almost avant-garde. It was so strange and cool and kind of a birth of a completely new genre of music. We loved that, we emulated that. And, I think, in doing that, we alienated ourselves from the rock 'n' roll scene and became a poppier situation.

Adele admits a meeting with Beyonce left her in tears.
The Rolling In The Deep singer became overwhelmed at meeting Bey - especially when her husband knew who she was.
"I met Beyonce at the O2, and at the Grammys," Adele recalls. "I was basically dribbling as she was talking to me.
"Then Jay-Z came over to talk to her but Beyonce was like: 'I’m talking, not now'," she adds to the Daily Star. "He came closer and said: 'Adele, can I just have one minute with my wife?'
"I was like: ‘'You know my name?' Then I ran off onto a balcony and fell to my knees, crying."

Adrien Brody's Beyoncé sadness
Monday, 8 December 2008
Adrien Brody was sad when Beyoncé sang to him.
The actor stars alongside the singer in 'Cadillac Records' and says he enjoyed working with her so much, he was overwhelmed when they did their final scenes together.
He said: "Beyoncé was remarkable and very emotionally open. We went through some tough stuff. There's one scene where she sings 'At Last' directly to me. It was a strange moment that made me sad because it was her last day of filming.
"I kept thinking, 'When will I ever have Beyoncé sing to me like this again?' "
In the movie, Beyoncé stars as legendary troubled singer Etta James, while Adrien plays record boss Leonard Chess

You saw how he hammered that kiss onto Halle Berry at the 2003 Oscars, so you know Adrien Brody dove into his work when it came to making out with Beyonce in "Cadillac Records."
Writer/director Darnell Martin admitted at Monday's premiere that she took some "dramatic license" in devising a scene where record boss Leonard Chess (Brody) locks lips and rolls around on the carpet with heroin-fogged singer Etta James (Beyonce).
But Brody wasn't troubled by the historical inaccuracy.
"Let's just say it wasn't a deal breaker," the grinning actor told us. "When I met Etta [the real one], she told me, 'Leonard and I did not do those things!' So, yes, it was somewhat embellished. But what's wonderful is the truth Beyonce brings to that moment. That justified it."
Plus, said Brody, whose girlfriend, Elsa Pataky, was out of earshot, "It is fun, obviously, to kiss Beyonce. I insisted on a lot of takes."
Beyonce, who came to the premiere with husband Jay-Z, allowed that she didn't find the intimacy repellent.
"It wasn't so bad," she said with a faraway smile. "I remember when he kissed Halle Berry. He's not shy! Not at all."
Cedric the Entertainer, who plays bluesman Willie Dixon, admitted his only problem with the film was that "they wrote me out of a scene with Beyonce."
Eamonn Walker, who heaped on weight and dropped his British accent to become Howlin' Wolf, said he identified with the growling singer's "madness, his obsessiveness and his love of women."
Jeffrey Wright, who masterfully inhabits Muddy Waters, admitted he couldn't match the Hoochie Coochie Man's guitar-pickin' or alcohol intake: "How am I going to be a hard-drinking man with a 7-year-old and a 3-year-old — though they may drive me to drink?"
Despite Beyonce donating her salary to the Phoenix House rehab program, premiere guests did do a little boozin' at the after-party at Marquee. Joining cast members like Mos Def, Gabrielle Union and Emmanuelle Chriqui were Leonardo DiCaprio, Diddy, Ne-Yo, John Legend, Kevin Connolly, Akon and Russell Simmons.

Alicia Keys Talks Beyonce Collaboration
After taking the world by storm with her memorable appearance on Jay-Z’s triumphant “Empire State of Mind,” Alicia Keys has now switched gears for a highly anticipated collabo with Beyonce on her forthcoming LP, “The Element of Freedom.”
Speaking on the track from her World Aids Benefit concert in New York City on Wednesday night (December 2), Keys spoke exclusively with BET News Correspondent Sharon Carpenter about “Put It In A Love Song.” The track, which is slated to appear on the singer's December 15th release was constructed out of pure fun and completely organic, according to Keys.
“Someone’s in London, someone’s in NYC and you send it via internet and they send it back," Keys told Carpenter. "You’re feeling it, you talk on the phone, but the real way is to really be in the studio together, which we were.”
“We just had a party in the studio," she continued. "It was such a genuine energy, we clicked, we connected. We’ve known each other for a lot of years and obviously this is the first time that we’ve been able to collaborate, so it was unforgettable. Can’t wait for you to hear it.” [Click here to listen to Alicia Keys' "Put It In A Love Song" featuring Beyonce.]
Though contributors and producers for “Put It In A Love Song” have yet to be revealed, Keys assured Carpenter that her and Beyonce’s tag team, in addition to the song's elements, provide a great ambiance. “The song, when you hear it, there’s just a great mixture,” Keys explained. “It just felt like….the two of us together would be a the perfect mixture on this song, big pianos, big beats, ill flows and a great hook.”
In regards to matching schedules, Alicia believes fate was the common denominator that brought the two songbirds together. “I reached out and she was like, ‘You’re never going to believe it, but I came back to New York those exact three days you said.’ It was just meant to be. There’s no other way that this was going to happen.”

Alicia Keys: Beyonce is like sister
Alicia Keys has said she thinks of Beyonce like a sister.
The pair got together to record a duet - called Put It In A Love Song - for Alicia's new album The Element Of Freedom, and the singer said they had a blast.
"Her and I together was like reunited sisters - most people get in the studio and don't get a chance to really collaborate, be in one room, we were in one room having a ball," she gushed.

She says, "She is so hot. Thank God for her, because I think everybody was starting to forget what star power really means.
"Everybody else can front like they have it, but Beyonce's got it. She'll be around forever, because she has not lost herself at any point.
"In this industry, I've been disappointed by a lot of people I've heard about, but everyone across the board has something nice to say about Beyonce."

Anthony Mackie was asked if he had to spend one night on a deserted island with either Beyonce or Rihanna who would he choose. Watch the video at about 1:30 for his response (he chose Beyonce)

"There are many people who have powerful voices," says Baz Luhrmann, "and then there are rare stars—whether it's a Streisand or a Louis Armstrong or a Maria Callas—whose voice is recognizable no matter what the material. That's what makes a great musical star: They put their imprint on anything they're given. Beyoncé absolutely has that." He pauses for a moment, and then for good measure adds one last piece of high-flying praise: "And as a dancer, there's not a step you can give her that she can't pick up."

What do you think of the current crop of female singers?
Honestly, I don't pay that much attention to new music. There's some good music out there though. I love Beyonce, Rihanna, Florence and the Machine.

StyleList: Edie Sedgwick used to be your model and muse. Who inspires you today?
Johnson: I like the classics -- Madonna and Tina Turner. And now Rihanna and Katy Perry. I love Rihanna. Oh, and Beyoncé! [Johnson starts singing the chorus from 'Single Ladies' and waves her left hand in the air]. I can watch that video ['Single Ladies'] a million times. My granddaugher is 3 1/2 and sings along. Beyoncé just keeps surprising us. It's amazing and it's believable.

Who do you listen to these days?
"I love Beyonce. I listen to pop women because I find them very interesting. Beyonce does stuff that no one can do. Pink is hanging from a thing. It’s unbelievable what these girls do. They are very creative. The men, not so much."

"It was just a wonderful, wonderful moment. I felt like I was floating. But there was nothing to be nervous about. The Kennedy Center thing was much more unnerving to me because it was so quiet, it was a song I'd never sung before and I don't like a lot of singers, but Barbra Streisand is three of them. I've wanted to sing with her or in the same room as her forever. Aretha Franklin, I've known since before "Respect," and she was there. And then the newest terror on the horizon, Beyonce, was there."

"To be honest I think the time of legendary artists ended with Boyz II Men and artists like Usher and Beyonce. We are kind of like the last of the Mohicans as far as knowing what it takes to become a legend in terms of our work ethic – it's become a lot more corporate and less organic."
