*** No. 1 (3 weeks)*** "Dark Horse" Katy Perry Featuring Juicy J
As it spends a third week atop the Nielsen BDS-based Pop Songs radio airplay chart, Katy Perry's "Dark Horse," featuring Juicy J, rewrites her own mark for the most weekly plays in the list's 21-year history. Its 16,151 plays (or an average of 97 each among the tally's 166 reporters) in the Feb. 17-23 tracking week top the 16,065 detections that Perry's "Roar" registered on the Oct. 19, 2013, chart. ("Roar," meanwhile, crowns Adult Contemporary (below) for a 14th week.) Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," featuring T.I. and Pharrell, ranks third with 15,801 Pop Songs plays (Aug. 24, 2013).
Didn't Katy during TD era have 5 of the top 6 songs spin record at one point during TD era. If I remember correctly she had California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Firework, E.T., and Last Friday Night in the top 6 most spun pop songs along with Give Me Everything by Pitbull.
Anyways, congrats
I hope Birthday can snatch its wig
Not deserved. It's unfortunate that we live in a world where just because you're popular any song you put out will reach the top.
Gurl, Dark Horse was climbing like no other before it was even released official. What is wrong with just admiting that the public loved the song? Is it so impossible?
Not deserved. It's unfortunate that we live in a world where just because you're popular any song you put out will reach the top.
Are you trying to say that the song that received the most weekly plays on radio does not deserve the record for a song with most weekly plays on radio?
Not deserved. It's unfortunate that we live in a world where just because you're popular any song you put out will reach the top.
The song was everywhere since October, every club was playing it since Late Oct early Nov, it was itching to smash
It was probably her most obvious smash IMO
Well besides IKAG
