A 'feminist' blog from the US has caused outrage after it's author apparently admitted aborting her male fetus based on her negative past experiences of men.
In an article so astounding it is difficult to believe it is actually true, 'Lana' even expresses surprise that "many friends, and several of my own family members have completely cut off communication with me".
The author purports to have fallen pregnant in 2012 and was overjoyed at the thought until she discovered she was to have a boy at which point she decided to have an abortion.
If this is true I don't see how anyone can use pro choice to defend her actions. Aborting a child because of their gender is absolutely ridiculous. The fact that she's surprised her family and friends stop communicating with her is rich.
Her choice. You can't pick and choose which reasons are more valid than others.
I'm sorry but if we continue like this we'll see ourselves in Gattaca in no time. Sex of the baby should not be a preference or choice unless we're talking about congenital disorders.
