Rapper Jay-Z has pleaded guilty to stabbing a record producer two year ago.
Jay-Z, 31, whose real name is Shawn Carter, admitted attacking the rival record producer at New York's Kit Kat club in December 1999.
But the hip-hop star only pleaded guilty to the least of several charges relating to the alleged assault. Prosecutors have promised the rapper that they would seek a sentence of three years probation, if he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour assault charge.
He faced a possible 15-year prison term had he been tried and convicted of the original felony charges.
Sentence
Jay-Z said "I stabbed Lance Rivera" during his brief court appearance before an Supreme Court judge Micki Scherer.
He will be sentenced on 6 December.
The Grammy award-winning rapper later said in a statement: "I have accepted responsibility for my actions as well as the actions of others who were involved in a dispute with Lance Rivera at the Kit Kat Club in December 1999."
The incident arose over the alleged bootlegging of Jay-Z's album, Vol. 3, Life and Times of S Carter, before its release on 28 December, 1999.
Another charge, related to possession of a firearm in a separate incident on 13 April 2001, was dismissed on Tuesday when another defendant in the case admitted to owning the gun.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jay-Z: I shot my brother when I was 12
“I went to someone’s crib, someone’s house, and got a gun. Guns were everywhere,” he said. “You didn’t have to go far to get one. Just everywhere…”
But after the shooting he admits he was fearful about would happen next.
“I thought my life was over,’ he said. “I thought I’d go to jail forever. It was terrible. I was a boy, a child. I was terrified.”

In the first video they were playing around, as mentioned numerous times in this thread. And he isn't judging Chris Brown, he is just saying that Rihanna should not collaborate with him.

All of this is in his book, what is your point? Doesn't make Chris look any better.
I love how CB stans are digging up fossilized receipts on Jay-Z when they're always bitching that people should "move on" and "forgive Chris" because what he did happened "such a long a time ago", ie. three years.
INB4 Rihanna stans trying to defend her silly actions.
LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, after years of donating to charities, giving back to his community, completely changing as a person etc etc. All of which Chris has yet to do.
CB was blacklisted from mainstream radios & now look at him. That shows his strength & willing to be the best but it seems this bias media manipulating everywhere he turns. His frustrations are justified sometimes coz all they do is pick on him. Chris redeemed himself & did everything he could (paid his dues & Rihanna forgave him) so why not let him live his life & move on. His charity work, including Kids Wish Network
Stand Up To Cancer, in Aid Still Required, Best Buddies International. i know nobody talks about his goods coz they are all busy analysing his tweets. *rant over

Soon as Chris Brown and Team Breezy realize that no one is moving on from this situation they will be good, y'all need to understand that this is gonna STICK with him for the rest of his life nothing is gonna change it. Its always gonna be someone bringing it up, get over it and stop bitching about it....this coming from a fan also.
