Not trying to start a mess, but would you care to address the racist Rihanna trending topic that occurred earlier this week? I've done some digging and read that many people in Argentina are not very open to people of African descent (especially Afro-Brazilians). I'm really curious. Thoughts?

1) What racist Trending Topic? I'm only aware about "#RihannaRomeroNoTeDioBola", which translates something like Rihanna, Romero -our goalkeeper in the World Cup- didn't payed you attention". It was a joke that Romero, who Rihanna praised, payed her dust so that's why she went with Germany in the final.
2) Argentinian people are like the most friendly and warm people in the world (that's why we're also so temperamental, specially when it comes to football/soccer, but the shades are mostly jokes). We don't have issues concerning race or ethnicity. We in fact have a holiday (Respect of Cultural Diversity on October 12th) celebrating all those enriching differences.
3) In a mostly liberal society (remember gay marriage/adoption are recognized, we have public sex-change treatments and official name/sex changing, etc.), that is also the home country of many indigenous people (2% of our population, including Mapuche, Kolla, Toba, Guaraní, Wichí, Diaguita, Mocoví, and Huarpe peoples), how can you incriminate us of being racists based on some TWITTER users?
Don't be mad because some shaded your fave. Rihanna is very popular here, it was just a let down that she supported Germany with so much strength instead of stay neutral.

nnnn Well when I searched through that #RihannaRomeroNoTeDioBola tag all I saw was...
"black wh*re"
"black beast"
"black sl*t"
"black bitch"
repeated over and over....
Surely you're not going to tell me that's not a display of racism? I don't know much about Argentina, which is why I asked, but seeing all of that hate speech on Twitter certainly made me feel some type of way. And when I did some Googling I found other stories where people had documented racist experiences in Argentina against black people.
I'm not attacking your country, it looks like a gorgeous place, but as a foreigner this is what I've read and wanted you to clarify. But if you say that what I've read is not an accurate reflection of your culture, I have no reason not to take your word for it.

Argentina seems like a beautiful place, and I'd love to party in Buenos Aires (I think).

Are you familiar with Twitter trolls? Just look the replies in all celebrities tweets, you'll find those kind of tweets and even worst. And you'll find that most of those people are from the US, does that mean that you're racist as a country?
P.S.: Rihanna is black, so I think the racist is you trying to give the word BLACK a bad or offensive meaning. It's offensive being called wh*re and all those words you wrote, but what's the big deal about being called black? It's like when someone is offended by being called gay.

Lol, but that applies to every country. People love and hate celebrities. And twitter is just a mess . All I know is that her music is played in every single club, most guys would **** her and if she toured here, she could probably book a stadium date

Yes, I will admit that the US is far from a post-racial society with very racist social constructs still at play.
And there's nothing wrong with the word "black", I am a proud BLACK man. But in this context of being called all those nasty names, throwing black into the mix just makes it worse and adds a racial element to it. But whatever, you said you guys aren't racist now so I guess I'm done here.

If you search #RihannaRomeroNoTeDioBola black and #RihannaRomeroNoTeDioBola negra (black in Spanish) in http://keyhole.co/ you can see only 13 users posted a tweet with "#RihannaRomeroNoTeDioBola black" (check searching it on Twitter) and 200 with "#RihannaRomeroNoTeDioBola negra" And they're mostly pointing that if Rihanna was in Hitler times she'd be killed, but still she was supporting Germany (stupid thought but non-racist).

Anyway, I found this:
Full
Basically, it was opened a Walk of Fame in my city for artists of a local music genre ("cuarteto"). Culturally, it has a great value. But IMO cuarteto s*cks

It's the most European-ish part of the country, you'll love it. But the North is culturally iconic, you'll enjoy it too
