Both of their careers hit fever pitch during the 90's decade. Over the course of their careers they have inspired many new acts. I honestly can't even think of a Janet song off the top of my head. I only can remember her boob from the Super Bowl.

Celine however, was one in the midst of lip-syncing crazy pop acts that could prove great vocals can still get you to the top of the music industry. I would think someone like Adele wouldn't be the same artist without someone like Celine to pioneer the way previously.

Celine, however usually gets overshadowed by much greater singers like Whitney and Mariah.

But girl, "the Titanic song" has outsold any and all of Janet's singles Celine has sold 15 million with My Heart Will Go On, and Janet's highest is less than half that at 6 million for Together Again.
