Considered one of the “elite” artists of R&B, it has been nearly 15 years since Aaliyah Dana Haughton has left us due to an tragedy – However – She still left a indelible imprint on the music industry as a whole, helping redefine the contemporary R&B music scene through 90s and the following decades.
Baby Girl mainly got attention from critics for the “futuristic production style consumed hip-hop and urban sound” her songs showcased, as we can hear on classics like “Are You That Somebody?” and “Try Again” both often demanded as “radical” and “innovative” singles for their respective times… and this is what the rate is going to be about.
As we all know, she had a hell of a track record when it comes to singles and here we are going to decide which one is the best. Any song that was released as a single (any type of single) is going to be included here be either just a promo, collaborations etc. All the thirty-one of them. Like some say – The more the merrier!
1. There is a total of 31 singles in this rate. You must score every single from 0 to 10. Only one of them can receive an 11 from you, if you want to give any.
2. PM your scores to me. Don't post them in the thread.
3. Decimals are allowed.
4. The deadline is on April 10th. I not able to post links to the songs now since I am on mobile and I can’t use my computer, but they can be easily found on YouTube.
5. You can comment on the songs, you don’t need to, but if you can do it! They can make the rate itself more entertaining ~
6. No trolling or you ballots are going to be ignored.
7. Have fun ~

Most of my scores are above 8 (I think), so I don't think I'll affect the actual rate too much, but I couldn't even attempt to create a scale for most songs. Aaliyah is like my all time fave
