To be fair though, she couldn't release her album when Sweet Talk peaked at #38. She needed something better to release her album. This will for sure go Top 20, I think the album will be released after that.
To people saying "where is the album dsajsdjioadsodas ??!?!?!"
— "Firestarter" was a decent Top 10 hit but it clearly wasn't as big as Sony were hoping it would be.
— "Soldier" wasn't as big as Sony were hoping it'd be.
— Sammi's mother passed way and that was very tough on her, so the album was put on hold.
— "Up!" wasn't as big as Sony were hoping it'd be.
— Releasing an album following three underpeforming singles wasn't what her label, or I'm sure Sammi, wanted. So they planned to wait a while, allowing Sammi to grieve her mother's passing, and then make a "comeback" later on during the X Factor finale hype of 2014 after Marlisa won.
— "Sweet Talk" flopped despite having international producers and a video inspired by All About That Bass/This Is How We Do.
— Sammi's clearly taken some time to reshape her sound and try to get some more international-sounding hits. Obviously this Pitbull collab is gonna be pretty big and will hopefully put her on the map WW, as Pitbull is a huge WW force. We should hopefully have her album 'Angel' out this year if the song makes waves.
Lets hope this will be good.
