Rihanna appears to have arguably surpassed Lady Gaga's performance skills,
incorporating exciting and aesthetic choreography, live vocals, and emotion
into her performances, without the use of distracting theatrics.

I've been blown away with her performances, especially the televised ones. The Grammys left me utterly speechless, both WFL and Stay performances.
I'd say that Rihanna is a solid performer with her natural stage presence and swag. GaGa's presence seems a bit forced and contrived from time to time, which is why I prefer her just sitting at the piano and belting out a ballad. She is much more real and raw that way.
