But the original version of the Bible said the word "Servant" as opposed to "Slave", the meaning got lost in translation
it's something a lot of people hate about translations
And at the time many sold themselves off to slavery to pay off debts. If Christianity tolerated slavery, why are slave traders classed together with perverts and liars later on in 1 Timothy 1:10
There are so many contradictions in the Bibles but these flimsy receipts don't consider modern translations or the time it was written in. As an atheist, I hate it when people just dig up these quotes to show off the bad side of Christianity without really doing there research
