47th CMAs: Nov. 6 | TONIGHT!!
The Country Music Association Awards
The Country Music Association Awards, also known as the CMA Awards, or the CMAs, are voted on by business members of
the Country Music Association. The first CMA awards were presented at an untelevised ceremony in Nashville's Municipal
Auditorium in 1967. Beginning in 1969, the awards were televised live, usually during October or November of each year.
They continued to be broadcast on NBC until switching to CBS in 1972, where they remained until 2005. Starting in November
2006, the Annual CMA Awards are televised on ABC. The CMA Awards, for many years, were held at the home of Nashville's
Grand Ole Opry; initially at the Ryman Auditorium, and from 1974 to 2004 at the Grand Ole Opry House. The 2005 ceremonies took
place in New York City at Madison Square Garden. The awards show has been held at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena since 2006.

Is this the first year that Reba/Martina don't show up in Female Vocalist? I hope so. I'm predicting:
Male: Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton [6th: Tim McGraw]
Female: Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert (even though she has NOTHING eligible), Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood (6th: Ashley Monroe)
Will be interesting to see how right I am? Also, Entertainer should probably be Aldean/Bryan/McGraw/Shelton/Swift, right?

Carrie better get an Entertainer of the Year nomination, she had a bigger year than everyone in country other than Taylor Swift and Luke. I'm not even asking for a win, I just want her to get a nomination.

Country loves Luke right now for some reason.
I'm still upset at the thought Luke will probably get an Entertainer of the Year nomination and Carrie won't.

If Luke and Florida Georgia Line sweep this year the Grammys will become the only reputable country awards.
And the American Carrie Awards.

Let's face it. Carrie and Taylor can have the most authentic, most acclaimed, biggest selling country singles / albums in the world and they'd still get snubbed and give all the awards to Miranda.

Luke and FGL will sweep. They've both had incredible breakthrough years, there's no denying that. I don't like either one of them as artist, but it is what it is.
