A brain teaser for the homophobics!
Ok I'm going to leave a small detail out of the first description! A very small, but big, detail!
So there is this boy, who grew up in a small town. He was raised next to two other brothers, one older, one younger then him. It was a small town, but he took part in going to Church with his family every Sunday, while helping attend small activities within the church, such as handing out phamplets and taking care of the building's set-up.
He eventually took part in an organization within the Church to help out the environment, by cleaning up the town. He was a very down to earth guy. Loved helping others. He was kind. Very attractive. Eventually he went to the big school. He was awarded perfect attendance, straight A's, was always on time, never was late nor skipped. Was also smart and won the award for "Most Successful" student in his High School year.
He played sports, was very athletic, very strong. He started to have a passion for staying fit. Ate healthy. Made sure to exercise. He also took part in helping out in organizations among the school, such as a teacher's assisant. Teachers loved how he was so helpful and he even helped others with their homework.
Eventually he graduated and moved on to College. He was awarded many more awards, still received A's. Was very attentive. People looked and thought of him highly. He took part in a homeless shelter and helped out the victims of disatarous events, such as Hurricane Katrina. People praised his thoughtfulness and how he cared and fed the helpless.
He didn't really date much, but was waiting for the one. He didn't find the one until his last year at College. They took his life away and turned it around. They dated for months, years! Eventually they exchanged rings. He had a sense of morales, didn't do anything wrong. Was a virgin. Didn't want to do it without God's name. They moved in together and they even took part in helping out the community.
They eventually raised a child of their own. Took care of the child. Taught them good morales, never did that child did wrong. Everyone was inspired by his life and how well it was. He had such motivation and power among others that felt like falling down in loss of hope. The mayor of the town officially stated him as being the most positive influencetual person of town in his 30's.
Had a great career and made a lot of money. Never did anything wrong. There's just one thing though, that I left out...can you guess?
But first, after reading this description, would any Christian believe this person would go to Hell?
Take a time to state your opinion now. I'll let you do that now...
Got it? I'm positive you all answered with a NO right? He was a good person. Nothing wrong. Great. But again, what was that missing part I left out? Oh...let me state it now...
Are you ready?
This person happened to be...
Gay. Yes. He was gay. That significant other was a man. They adopted. They exchanged rings in God's name. They both waited to have sex until they were committed.
Now, again, knowing that last part, does that NO change to a YES?
Before you splurt out a YES and "quote" the bible, think about what he's done in his life, not just his sexuality. Do you seriously think that God would send a person, without knowing he was gay, to Hell with a life like that? I think not! But throwing in who they are attracted to, outweighs the good, moraled person they are from the heart as a person verses a straight person who lived a same lifestyle?
Just something to think about. Hopefully you all didn't change your answer. If you did, well, maybe your better suited on another planet, away from this planet. Maybe lock yourself away or something. I hope you learned a thing or two from this!

I think you're trying to convince yourself this is true, rather than anyone else. And aside from all this, just being "a good person" isn't going to take you to heaven.
I don't understand why you always feel the need to throw shade at Christians and straight people. It seems like a personal insecurity to me.

LMAO. First of all, this shows how ignorant you are, you never ANSWERED the question I put in there. Did you EVEN read it?
I doubt it.
Second of all, what am I trying to convince? Again, read it, word to word.
And lastly, that last part made no sense. So God doesn't send "good" people to Heaven? So wait, what? Did I just read what you wrote? So who does your God allow in Heaven then? Bad, ignorant, biased, discriminated people? Ahhhh, I should have known. *DEAD*
I work now, so peace!

As a Gay Person I must say..
It Doesnt Matter How Well he Did in school.
It Doesnt matter if he gets married, raises kids, Helped out during Hurricane Katrina,
was elected president, sold Millions of Albums, or Won 8 Grammy's.
He is Still A Human Being.
We all Deserve Respect: Not Just The Ones who have acheived Great Things.
Gay People are PEOPLE. We Are Who We Are!

Such wisdom, I really wish people would see it that way. But then again our day will come.

Exactly. That's the point of this. Great minds think alike. I'm glad someone figured this out. Most people wouldn't be able to get that conclusion like you did.
But besides the fact of what he has achieved in life, it's all in the heart. If you are, at least, honest and kind and have the same abilities as he had, you are worthy of anyone's acceptance.
It just shows that you can't just look at someone's sexuality, there is more to the painting, more to the scenery, not just that one part that sticks out. If I started the paragraph off with "He's Gay" no one would have even read the rest of the story, or look at the rest of the big picture. I wanted to put the whole picture out there first, then throw in that small detail.
It takes a lifetime to figure that out. But I really have to go, I'm gonna be late to work. I'll be back after midnight, good luck everyone! Love you all! Peace!

Did I not answer the question, you ask? I apologize. My answer is that, I don't know. Only the individual themselves and God know their own fate.
Who are you trying to convince yourself you ask? Like I said, Yourself. I think you are personally afraid because you do believe in God, but aren't 100% assured of your salvation. But that's just my perception.
That's why you constantly feel the need to challenge Christians beliefs and include your sexuality in nearly every post you make, which doesn't make sense to me. Alot of people on ATRL are gay so there is no need for you to act like it's something unusual that you need to let everyone know.
And I guess you misinterpreted the part about God not taking "just good people" to heaven.
Let me explain. Just going to church on the Sabbath, reading the bible and preaching to others means nothing if it doesn't come from the heart and if you don't have a relationship with God. God is asking for a relationship, not just good deeds.

Kevin. DEAD at "I'm going to leave a small detail out of the first description" after naming the thread the way you did.
My friend, that person does not deserve to go to hell. But someone who generalizes everything does. I'm a christian and catholic and I believe you can do anything with your life. Most people do.
That said, please, STOP generalizing everyone. And most important, do what you feel like doing. What makes YOU happy. You don't have to follow every single rule - several of them, ancient ones - of a certain religion to be religious and to believe in God, for Heaven's sake.

I just don't like the shade he throws at Christians. And not all even feel the same way. He needs to stop generalizing.
