"We are very excited to announce that a Muse song, Survival, has been selected by the London Olympic committee to be the main official song for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Matt wrote the song with the Olympics in mind. It's about total conviction and pure determination to win.
The song will be played throughout the Games including when athletes enter the stadium, in the lead up to the medal ceremony and also as the theme for all international TV coverage.
We are honoured that the Olympics have chosen our song to officially represent the London 2012 Olympic Games across the globe."
If anyone can do dubstep well it's Muse. I'm looking forward to this!!
I have faith in ANYTHING Muse does, and I have faith that they would do dubstep in a way that will truly be special...but who knows? With Muse, I tend to not assume anything until the music speaks for itself.
I'm waiting
I still hope for something like New Born, Plug In Baby etc. I like rock Muse so much. For me still dubstep and Muse don't really come together.
I'm excited but also slightly nervous as people said. If they are dubstep, then I'll be a little pissed, cause I don't think those will mix together well. I do like their last album though. It doesn't have their best songs, but I still really like it.
Well I cant be too bitter. There are bands that dont try and do anything new with their music and they come out with boring albums where they end up sounding like a horrible version of their old self. Speaking of that- please don't listen to born villain.
So, actually, as it turns out, the song that's being premiered is not "Unsustainable", but, instead, the just-announced main official song of the 2012 London Olympics, "Survival".
Holy ****...I just realized that, because this song will undoubtedly be released to iTunes, this could be Muse's biggest hit ever.
