With Billboard and Vibe confirming reports that Chris Brown will be featured on Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" remix, (and her producers saying the feature would "shock" people), who would suffer more backlash?
This situation has the potential to be the messiest (and biggest) music story of 2012. I'm still holding out hope Rihanna wouldn't allow this to happen. Hopefully in a week this poll will be irrelevant.
Also, what happens to ATRL if this is true? The meltdowns on here will be epic.
Rihanna. People will burn her albums, lose all respect for her and radio stations will refuse to play the song. I doubt that she could recover from such backlash. And let's not even get started on what would happen if they got back together.
Hopefully this is all just a misunderstanding/tacky promo on her people's behalf.
Rihanna of course, me, like many others would stop supporting her and I think her career would be destroyed. cb wouldn't lose fans, he'd probably get more.
Oh, definitely Rihanna. A large swath of the population has already given up on Chris Brown, but those people are going to turn on Rihanna, too. There is going to be a lot of discussion about the negative precedent she's setting for young girls in abusive relationships and it's going to damage her reputation. This is probably the worst career move Rihanna could ever make—but she clearly doesn't care.
It's not happening. producers denied it and I don't think rihanna is really that desperate.
besides, if it did, I would still stan for her. I think the fact that she can forgive him for what he did to her shows that she has a real honest and strong character to be honest.
if she started dating him that would be different. But a collab on a song is not a big deal.
You guys keep saying the producers denied it but they NEVER flat out said it wasn't Chris. "Felony assault guy " (the wording in the tweet) could be anyone.
If you haven't noticed, you hardly see any Chris Brown stans proclaiming that they will stop buying his albums if he got on a track with her.
That's because you guys suffered through the backlash of him assaulting Rihanna and all of the press that followed. So if that wasn't enough to make you hate him, then a collaboration with Rihanna wouldn't do anything but add to your fanbase.
