Maybe hate is a strong word. This isn't one of those 'Urghh this bitch deserves so much more fame' threads, I've just been noticing more and more since her current era began, a lot of members seem to hate her and I have no idea why. I get why not everyone likes her, it's the same with every artist, but Kelly seems to have a different kind of hate against her. Idk. Has anyone else noticed? Did she do something - or am I missing something?

This is exactly my point. Obviously, not everyone will like her/her music, but some members seem to have a real dislike of her, or at least think very low of her. It's something I've wondered for a while.

Maybe on ATRL she is, but in the real world she isn't. There are a handful of ignorant members on ATRL that only stan for artists of the "moment" (which unfortunately hasn't been Kelly for awhile, although she will probably outlast them all), but regardless she will always have dumb haters no matter what. Some just don't get her (and their lives must suck), but most people at LEAST appreciate/acknowledge her talent even if they aren't a big fan.

I've never seen someone hating on her. She's one of those artists with a relatively small but loyal fanbase who is kinda indifferent to the general public (her success now depends mainly on how radio receives her songs or promo, she's not one of the girls whose lead singles shoot to #1 no matter what). She reminds me of a more vocally talented but less interesting musically and performance-wise P!nk.

I guess you haven't heard A Moment Like This and My Life Would Suck Without You then....

Anyways, no artist will for SURE get a #1 lead single. Beyonce and Christina's latest are proof of that.

How is that true though? Kelly's latest single by FAR outperformed Beyonce's. And I think with time and a couple smash hits on the way (What Doesn't Kill You and Dark Side), she can outsell both of their albums in the end.

Yes, she is successful, but Britney and Beyonce are huge worldwide stars and considered 2 of the trinity of pop music by a lot of people. I'm not saying Kelly isn't equally as deserving, but Brit and Beyonce are bigger names.

I don't understand it either. She's humble, great personality, great voice, great music... She has class, doesn't shade alot of her peers... I just don't understand whenever she performs I see alot of negative; they don't pay attention to the voice, they just talk about her weight and look which is pretty stupid. Whether or not she is hated here; I know outside this forum she is loved by many fans. SO haters gonna hate.
