I just don't see it at all. It's the same as comparing it to Rihanna "Hard" when those guys are marching. Or any music video with military uniform. RN and Alejandro don't resemble each other or give off the same energy.
And Vogue, I just... I mean. You are talking they are both wearing black pants in a scene. That's it. I mean the energy, the video, the direction, the plot, the choreography, the editing.... nothing is similar. The gun **** were a tribute I'm sure.
But if that's what you see, then that's what you see..
You have got to be kidding about not seeing the homages Gaga paid to both 'Vogue' and 'Rhythm Nation'.

They are absolutely none in the same. Vogue is very frothy and fun and Alejandro is more erotic and dark. But if you see the similarities more power to you I guess
I liked it... but there's too much for nothing. It has very beautiful visuals, very fashionable, sofisticated... but it's far from what i was expecting.

Nobody is saying the videos are the same. To honor something is not the same as copying. But ok.
Similarities/honor whatever you want to call it. Still don't see it. The energy + mood those videos bring are none in the same.
If you think "energy + mood" are the only things in a video... Ok. Although using your point, I can also say: 'Alejandro' doesn't have only one energy or mood. AT ALL.
It's obviously everyone expected so much in this video but let's see it in another way, at least she tried it hard to make a good video maybe it's not her best but it's better than many other simple videos nowadays. She's trying to save the art of music videos and that's very greatful.

That's not all I think a video is first of all.
And it really doesn't matter to me if it's honoring those videos. Really. I could care less. But in my opinion, it's not. That simple. Lady Gaga and Steven Klein are not ashamed of saying what inspired them. And when they come out and say it was inspired by those videos then we'll know. But they haven't. And I don't think they will. Because it's probably not an homage to them.
