Ok, I lied. This isn't exactly disgusting but there are far better choices on the album. This should just stay an album track or be the UK-only single.
I just wonder why they picked this. Is it because of the recent ballad-driven change on the radio? If so, then that's stupid because nobody will enjoy a ballad during summer! And Ed Sheeran isn't exactly popular in the US even if A Team did well. Lego House is still chugging along on the charts slowly. Every time one of his songs come on the radio, my family tells me to change the station because he makes them fall asleep. I don't blame them...
Its not that EHC is bad its just.... there. Its got some good lyrics, its pretty and kinda catchy. But honestly they shouldve been choosing between Red, State of Grace, Holy ground, treacherous or all too well. All PERFECT choices which this era has been sorely missing.
I honestly don't see this single SMASHING or saving the album like Red, State of Grace, Holy Ground, and All Too Well could. And at this point, Taylor desperately NEEDS something saved as 22 is not doing as well as everybody thought it would do (although I do see it going Top 10 after Billboard performance).
