ALL OF HER: Count Katy Perry as yet another beneficiary from Grammy sales spikes, as the performance of her brand-new “Part of Me,” which was made available instantly on iTunes,
charted just 12 hours later at #7 on the Songs tally, with 97,884, climbing to #2 this morning. The song is apparently a rebuke to her ex, Russell Brand, and was introduced via a fiery performance on Sunday night's award ceremony, where Perry was up for a pair of phonographs for "Firework" (including Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance). Kudos to Direct Management’s Martin Kirkup for a successful introduction of the new tune. (2/14p)
