They will eventually. Idk my bio professor likes to rant about ****, and he was talking about how insurance companies are already starting to label people as "obese" and will have it stuck on their record for the rest of their lives.
Science shows that genetics plays a role in obesity. Genes can directly cause obesity in disorders such as Bardet-Biedl syndrome and Prader-Willi syndrome.
If my mother was obese when she had me, I'm most likely going to have genes inside of me that triggers my behavior to overeat. However genes do not predict future health.
Yes, definitely. People blaming obesity on genetics and your ****ing thyroid gland are pathetic. Even though they might make it a bit easier for you to get obese, it's still easy to get to a healthy weight if you have some self-discipline.
EDIT: I'm talking about SEVERELY obese people, not people who are overweight
Science shows that genetics plays a role in obesity..
right k so it's not entirely genetic, as in with proper diet and exercise you can circumvent obesity unless you have ACTUAL genetic issues like a thyroid problem. ya that may not be fair because Bob can eat 10 million hamburgers and never gain weight but Joe eats one and gains 10 pounds but....... genes are not THE thing that makes you fat lol
